Founded in 2001, and integrated by
the original Public English Department of Shandong University, Shandong
Medical University, Shandong Industrial University. It is now a teaching
section in the Foreign Languages Department. It has a faculty of 163
members, including 145 teachers with 12 Professors, 47 associate
professors, 60 lecturers and 26 teaching assistants, and 18 members of
administrative staff. There are 5 subsidiary teaching offices and 1
Public Foreign Languages Modern Educational Technology Experimental
Center (PFLMET Experimental Center), which undertakes the Public English
teaching tasks for both undergraduate and postgraduate students across
the university.
